The Greek economy remains in a “Rise,” with a 53% probability, down from 55% in September. Key macroeconomic indicators remain supportive, with the August PMI at 54.4, inflation at 3.8%, and July unemployment at 7.9%.
However, the risk balance is deteriorating. Inflation accelerated for the second consecutive month, with housing prices rising 9.7%, while the Athens Stock Exchange rose above 2,700 points, reaching a new 17-year high. The combination of rising inflationary pressures and high market valuations is reinforcing the “double tail of risk,” with Disturbance rising to 15% from 12% in September and Greed remaining at 15%.
The real economy, however, maintains its momentum, with a 48% probability that the Uptrend will continue.
